Cleptoz

Cleptoz exploded onto the Indianapolis hip hop scene in 2001 and were most of the most recognized local acts for over a decade. The trio was founded at Butler University, where group members Hum.v, Di Yung, and tha BC all attended. They started by recording music and performing small campus parties, but quickly realized they had a created a buzz on a much greater scale.  Whether they were selling out the Vogue in Indy or sharing the stage with national acts in Milwaukee, Cleptoz became a well-known and respected hip hop group throughout the Midwest in the 2000s. Opening for acts like Jurrassic 5, The Roots, Twista, Common, and Ghostface Killa, their high energy live performances drew huge crowds.
