Killer Queen’s first public shows were at London University in 1993, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there decades earlier. Killer Queen’s UK popularity grew to such an extent they soon secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End. The band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad, leading to their recognition as “Worldwide Best Tribute Band” at an awards ceremony in Leicester Square.

Fast forward to 2024, and the band has sold out venues all over the world. Close your eyes, and you would swear you’re back twenty years ago at a real Queen concert with the most authentic Freddie Mercury performance since the real thing. “No detail is overlooked,” says Duncan Kennedy of BBC 1. “Killer Queen are kings of the musical impersonators, the highest of tributes.”
