Mike Martin & The Beautiful Mess

This is the pre-party for the long awaited new release for the full length album ‘Home’ from Mike Martin & The Beautiful Mess; featuring Grammy award winning banjo player Graham Sharp from Steep Canyon Rangers and Steve Martin’s band. Voted Country Americana Band of the Year in The Charleston City Paper in 2018, Mike and The Mess have been on a long never ending tour. They return from the beaches of South Carolina for their first appearance in  Indianapolis since the pandemic. Mike has been a long time staple in the Indiana music scene as an artist and a venue owner, operating Doc’s Music Hall in Muncie from 2006 to 2012 in Muncie where his influence is still felt with their new venue The Common Market. Long time fiddle player Caryn Egan is also a Ball State University Graduate. They will be joined by one of Caryn’s side project Derek P. Hurt and The Herd, and local Indy bluegrass aficionados Flatland Harmony Experiment. The album will be released nationally Oct 22 through punk label Main Man Records out of New Jersey, who released their previous 45 RPM record ‘Take Your Pills’. This is the official pre-party to start off this two week midwest country cruise!
