The Northern Kentucky Derby

The Northern Kentucky Derby is a two-piece rock band from, you guessed it: Northern Kentucky. Tyler Shelton (guitar/vocals) and Joey McCoy (drums/vocals) have been playing music together since elementary school and they put all of that experience to work when writing their debut album “DIY” which came out in September of 2021. They use their limitations to their advantage and rely solely on their personality rather than effects. With just a guitar and a drum set, the band’s sound can be boiled down to 3 words: Honest, Loud, and Simple.
