Spencer Gets It Lit, a new album by Jon Spencer and his band the Hitmakers is set for release in April. The group just released the electric lead single “Junk Man” accompanied by a colorful, grungy official video.
Jon Spencer & the Hitmakers features Spencer on vocals and guitar, Quasi’s Sam Coomes on synthesizers and vocals, M. Sord on drums, and Bob Bert playing “trash.” The HITmakers will embark on their spring tour with Janet Weiss (Sleater Kinney, Quasi, Wild Flag) on drums.
