Carleton Stone
Carleton Stone, an award-winning artist, a songwriter with a growing list of credits and a founding member of the popular East Coast trio Port Cities.
Carleton has three solo records to his credit, multiple awards, and has toured internationally. An outstanding writer, Carleton has written songs for and with such diverse artists as Ria Mae, Neon Dreams, Classified (featuring Snoop Dogg), Quake Matthews, Donovan Woods, Matt Andersen, Bobby Bazini, and Mo Kenney. During lockdown, Carleton worked to hone his skills as a producer and in 2021, Carleton produced Willie Stratton’s Drugstore Dreamin’ (2022) along with his own record.
Carleton’s latest single, “Fences,” is an anthem for the down-but-not-out romantics co-written by Kayleigh O’Connor. Driven by a relentless bass line, Stone guides us through the timeline of a fractured relationship as the music soars on the wings of poignant piano and glowing synth. “Fences” owes its ecstatic soundscape to a crack team of musicians and studio wizards, including Todd Lumley, Loel Campbell, Corey LeRue, and Colin Buchanan.
