Jon Schmidt

Jon Schmidt is an American pianist and composer born to German immigrant parents, who gave him the gift of music of early education in music. Classically trained, he began composing as early as age 11, branched into New Age music in his 20s, and has since developed a classical crossover style that blends classical, contemporary, and rock and roll. He has released eight solo albums and seven piano books containing original scores. Jon finds fire for the journey seeing joy in people who hear great music, with his mission being to inspire and spread hope through incomparably imaginative piano music. Since 2010 he has been a member of The Piano Guys, the most successful YouTube instrumental group in history, performing in their YouTube videos, albums, and in concert.
