Modern Love Child is an indie-surf artist who captures the essence of love and heartbreak through breezy ballads and upbeat synth-laden bangers. MLC’s unique voice is authentic and inviting which draws the listener into this unique brand of Bedroom Pop. After jumping from coast to coast and living in various surf enclaves around the world, MLC recently set up shop in Miami, FL. Not only has he made a name for himself as an indie artist/songwriter, but also as a prominent TikTok creator. As he settled into his new home and began writing songs for his forthcoming sophomore album, Jonny Boy, he started to use TikTok as a video journal, teasing songs he’s in the process of working on and documenting his experience in Miami.

The latest single, “Hot Pink Mess”, was produced by friend and longtime collaborator, Ben Kweller. Modern Love Child is currently putting the finishing touches on the Jonny Boy album which is set to be released in 2026 on the NoiseCo label.
