Juice Falls

November 28th | HI-FI | summerbruise, Leisure Hour, and Best Noodles In Town

Over ten years ago, Juice Falls was created on the sleepy southside of Indianapolis, Indiana, and has been too loud for its neighbors ever since. Juice Falls is an exciting mix of grunge and emo rock, with heavy doses of spacy effects, soft 80s-inspired moments, and honest lyrics that anyone can relate to.

The opening acts, consisting of summerbruise, Leisure Hour, and Best Noodles In Town also hail from Indiana! summerbruise is a “fake emo” band that intertwines heavy topics, such as existential dread, with a strangely whimsical sound. Leisure Hour is a three-piece emo band who’s stirred up attention in the Midwest music scene by playing loud, looking slay, and building an intimate community around their band. Best Noodles In Town is a guitar-driven band influenced by the emo, hardcore, pop punk, metal, and progressive genres that they refuse to stop listening to, no matter how much the “big noodle industrial complex” tries to stop them.

This show is extra special, as both Juice Falls and summerbruise will be celebrating their new album releases. Plus, for anyone keeping tabs on the rivalry, the IU/Purdue game will be on the TVs, so you won’t miss a moment while catching one of the best local lineups of the year.

Connor McLaren

January 2nd | HI-FI | Abigail Rose, and Current Entertainment

“I’m gonna be emotional. You’re gonna be emotional. We’re all gonna be emotional. So come on out,” said Conner McLaren on a heartfelt post.

Like an American Liam Gallagher, but friendlier, Connor built his musical home from Bloomington, Indiana. Without a team or music biz knowledge, he and his brother Alec, began setting up outside of their favorite bands’ concerts. They’d play on the street amidst droves of music fans exiting venues. These DIY antics got the attention of indie-icon Ben Kweller, who invited the brothers to Texas to write and record. In the spring of 2022, Connor signed with The Noise Company to release his forthcoming debut album, Innocence, in 2023.

Abigail Rose and Current Entertainment are also fellow Hoosiers!

Abigail Rose knew she wanted to write songs and share them with the world since she first started playing guitar at 10 years old. After growing up in Indiana and focusing on her mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, her musical creations started to flow effortlessly.

Current Entertainment was born out of a garage in Bloomington, Indiana. Aiden Blankenship and Eric Olson were just two teenagers strumming guitars and having some fun during the pandemic. Now, the band has five members all in their early 20s: consisting of jazz students and bluegrass pickers which has evolved the sound into a unique combination of music filled with love and jamming.
