Indianapolis-born DIY-pop trio Yeah No, For Sure is made up of Kyle Barkes, Nathan Davis (co-frontman of tri patterns), and Basil Tooth’s Collin Eades. Having met through music tech classes in college, a one time challenge to write and produce a song in one day quickly evolved into a more serious collaboration of aspiring producers. As the COVID crisis began, the group began working on “Phase”, a humorous and mindful response to the isolation of the moment. The group’s unique take on pop music stems from their creative unboxing of a wide range of artists, from John Cage to modern pop rule breakers like No Rome and Bon Iver. YNFS effortlessly fuses the modern sound of the digital age and the imperfection of analog days – full of playful and relatable songwriting, boundary-pushing production, and light hearted spirits.
