Three-time Grammy Award nominees The Avett Brothers made mainstream waves with their critically acclaimed 2009 major label debut, I And Love And You. In 2012, The Carpenter hit #4 on the Billboard Top 200, followed by Magpie And The Dandelion in 2013, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200. In 2016, the band was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. The 2017 documentary, May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers (co-directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio), chronicles the process of writing 2016’s True Sadness, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Albums, #1 on Rock Albums, #3 on the Billboard 200, and scored 2 Grammy nominations. The film received high praise upon its release theatrically and on HBO, and is currently available on DVD/Blu-Ray/VOD. In 2019, the band released their tenth studio album, Closer Than Together, featuring the single “High Steppin'” which reached #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. The band's latest album, The Third Gleam, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart, #1 Rock Albums, and #1 Vinyl Albums, and the single “Victory" hit #1 on the Americana Radio Singles Chart. The Avett Brothers stayed connected to fans amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by playing two sold out drive-in shows at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Swept Away, a musical inspired by and featuring the music of The Avett Brothers, premiered in January 2022 at Berkeley Repertory Theatre to rave reviews from audiences and critics and recently wrapped a limited pre-Broadway engagement at D.C.’s Arena Stage. The band closed out 2023 with their 20th annual hometown New Year's Eve celebration and will be touring across the country for much of this year.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse offers concourses up to 60 feet at its widest so maneuvering to one of the 100+ places to purchase concessions is a walk in the park. When it is halftime of the game or intermission of the show, it’s time to kick back and relax at one of the many tables throughout the Main Concourse or Balcony Level. Grab a gourmet meal or a hot dog and nachos, and with more concession stands that means more of a variety and less time waiting in line.

From every seat in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, you’ll feel right on top of the action. That’s good, because with your closeness to the excitement, you’ll need the space to stand up and exchange high-fives with all the fans around you.

Our goal is to get you inside the facility as seamlessly as possible. We ask all guests to arrive early, travel light and have their mobile tickets ready as they enter the Fieldhouse. What are the age restrictions at this venue?

While Gainbridge Fieldhouse does not impose age restrictions on any event, parents may choose to screen the acts to determine if they are age-appropriate. Once the child reaches 24 months old a ticket will be necessary for admission. There are events where the promoter requires that all guests, regardless of age, have a ticket to enter the event. For information specific to your event, please contact the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Box Office at 317-917-2727.

Can I upgrade my to VIP seating?

For safety reasons, prohibited items include but are not limited to:

  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances, or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
  • Audio/Video recorders, professional cameras, tripods
  • Backpacks
  • Bags larger than 6”x9”x1.5”
  • Beach balls or any projectiles or missiles
  • Cans, bottles, coolers, or other similar containers
  • Clothing that displays obscene/offensive language and/or pictures (as determined by Gainbridge Fieldhouse management)
  • Drones
  • Fireworks
  • Hard-sided bags
  • Laser pens/pointers of any type
  • Military or Tactical style clothing/gear (Active Duty Military uniforms are allowed)
  • Noisemakers such as air horns
  • Objects that obstruct another guest’s view of the playing/performance surface
  • Outside food or drinks
  • Pepper spray/Mace
  • Poles or sticks
  • Signs, flags, banners larger 11″X17″ or affixed to any pole
  • Skateboards/roller blades
  • Tripods, mono pods, or selfie sticks
  • Weapons of any type, including chains, knives, firearms, and spiked jewelry
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by event/building management

If an item is revealed during a search, guests may dispose of the item or return the item to a safe storage location away from the Fieldhouse.

Can I bring a bag into the show?

Security policies and staff are in place to ensure a safe facility and event for all guests, employees, and participants. All guests entering the Gainbridge Fieldhouse are subject to a security screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection conducted by Gainbridge Fieldhouse personnel. Security screenings are designed to detect prohibited items from entering the venue.

Backpacks (with the exception of single-compartment drawstring bags that meet the NBA bag-size requirements, or media backpacks that are screened at the media entrance), hard-sided bags and any bag larger than 6″x9”x1.5” will not be allowed. Discretion is allowed for purses and diaper bags that, while having the appearance of backpacks, generally are sized differently, and have a different purpose. These are allowed on a case-by-case basis and subject to management approval. All guests entering the Fieldhouse are subject to security screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection conducted by Gainbridge Fieldhouse personnel.

Weapons of any type, including (but not limited to) guns, chains, spikes, selfie sticks, sharp objects, pocket knives, mace/pepper spray or any other item deemed by management as a safety or security concern, will not be permitted inside the building.

What’s the parking situation like?

If you are purchasing tickets in person, street parking is available surrounding the Fieldhouse or you may park at the Virginia Ave. Parking Garage located at 155 S Delaware St. Please note: There may be a cost associated with parking in these locations.

What is the camera/photo policy for this venue?

As a general rule cameras with any detachable lens, or with an electronic or manual lens that extends more than one inch (1”) are prohibited for concerts.

Tripods and other equipment that could pose a tripping hazard are not permitted.

Standing or positioning oneself in order to take pictures in a manner that obstructs the view or enjoyment of the event by others is not permitted. Selfie sticks are not allowed in the building.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse management will enforce these policies as specified. We reserve the right to disallow cameras that, in the opinion of management, may be used to produce professionally marketed images or that violate event rules. Guests may call 317-917-2500 for specific requirements or restrictions.

Is there food and drink at this venue?

An array of Concessions are located throughout the concourses with all the fan favorites and local fares. Levy manages all food and beverage outlets at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Can I leave and re-enter the venue?

For your safety, all exits are final. Guests are not permitted to leave an event at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and then re-enter the same event.

Do you offer ADA, handicap or special needs options?

ADA seating may be purchased in advance on Ticketmaster.com. Once on the event’s Ticketmaster page, select “Accessibility” from the “Filters” tab to distinguish ADA seating on the Interactive Seat Map. If ADA seating accommodations are not purchased in advance but are needed on the day of the event, visit Guest Services on any level upon arrival to request ADA/limited mobility seating. Exchanges are subject to availability.

Wheelchair locations and modified aisle seats with ample room are available throughout Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Seating is dispersed both vertically and horizontally. Tickets for guests with disabilities are available through Ticketmaster outlets or in-person at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Box Office. Please indicate when purchasing tickets if you require accessible seating. If you are injured or become otherwise disabled after the purchase of your ticket, please bring your ticket(s) to the box office to see what options are available.

Where is the box office located?

The Box Office is located in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the Ascension St. Vincent Entry Pavilion.

I lost something at the show. Who do I contact?

Lost items that have been turned in to Guest Relations are logged in to an electronic system by Fieldhouse staff. If you lost an item, we encourage you to click the button below and fill out the form with details of your lost item. Once you complete the form, you will be notified of a possible match and given directions to claim it. Any unclaimed items will be discarded after a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 30 days; as storage space dictates. Please call 317-917-2979 with questions or for further assistance.

Beware of counterfeit tickets. How do I tell if my ticket is valid?

Ticketmaster is the only verified platform to purchase tickets for Gainbridge Fieldhouse events.

Beware of counterfeit tickets! StubHub, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, Overtime, eBay, Craigslist, secondary ticket “brokers”, or other 3rd parties are not recognized ticketing agents. Tickets purchased from unauthorized agents can be counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise invalid for admission.

Due to the nature of our business, we host events that may sell out. Patrons sometimes go to the secondary or resale market to purchase their tickets. Gainbridge Fieldhouse is NOT able to guarantee the validity of these tickets, as they are not purchased from an official source. By purchasing these tickets, you may be the victim of scalping. While you may receive real event tickets, you may end up paying more than the ticket’s face value.

Issues or refunds for tickets purchased from 3rd parties must be resolved by the 3rd party from which they were purchased. The Gainbridge Fieldhouse Box Office is NOT able to resolve any issues or issue any refunds for tickets purchased from 3rd party sites.
