In July 2022, three long-time friends from New Albany, Indiana, came together to play some tunes, eventually leading to the creation of Chorin [Chore+In], an indie folk band. Drawing influences from classic bands like The Velvet Underground and Bob Dylan, and modern acts such as The Nude Party and Houndmouth, Chorin has crafted a sound that is both nostalgic and contemporary.

The band consists of Zayne on vocals and rhythm guitar, Moon on bass and backup vocals, and Rocket on drums. In 2023, they welcomed Vinny as the lead guitarist, expanding their musical palette. Since forming, Chorin has been dedicated to creating new music and is preparing for an official EP release soon, while releasing singles and music videos to give a hint of what’s to come.

In their short time as a band, Chorin has toured extensively throughout the Midwest, from Memphis to Cincinnati. They’ve been featured at Louisville’s local music festival, Poor Castle, headlined the Rally in the Ally in Columbus, OH, and more exciting performances are on the horizon.
