HI-FI Annex: Know Before You Go

GENERAL SHOW INFORMATION

We are excited to host you for a show at HI-FI Annex! HI-FI Annex is an outdoor concert venue located behind the Murphy Arts Building in Fountain Square. The main entrance, box office and will-call are located off of St. Patrick St, directly across from St. Patrick Church. Please review the information below to help ensure an amazing experience. 

Venue & Age Restrictions
  • HI-FI Annex is open to guests of all ages.
  • Children 5 and under are admitted free with a paid adult ticket. 
Seating & VIP Options
  • This show is general admission standing only.
  • VIP and seating upgrades do not include a ticket to the show. A general admission ticket is required for all guests to enter the event.
  • Sidestage Lounge VIP: Upgrade your ticket to include sidestage viewing, dedicated bar, table seating and private restrooms
  • Vista VIP Deck: Available on a show by show basis for corporate outings, team building, private events
  • Lawn chairs are NOT PERMITTED unless otherwise specified on the show listing

Box Office & ID Requirements
  • Box office opens 1 hour prior to the published door time.  
  • You must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages and provide a VALID government issued ID.

VENUE LOCATION

 For those heading to HI-FI Annex, here’s everything you need to know to make your arrival smooth and easy:

Venue Entrance 
HI-FI Annex main entrance and box office are located at 1065 St. Patrick Street, directly behind the Murphy Arts Center. This is the best address to use for GPS directions to the venue. The Murphy Arts Building, which houses all three of our venues (HI-FI, HI-FI Annex and LO-FI Lounge), is located at 1043 Virginia Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46203. The address provided will take you directly to the main entrance of the HI-FI Annex, which is located behind our building. 

Parking Options
Street parking is free in Fountain Square, so if you arrive early, you’re likely to find a spot close by. Closer to showtime or on busy weekends, parking fills up quickly, but additional free street parking is available along Virginia Avenue, stretching from the I-65 overpass to the venue. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, which is well-lit and offers a quick walk to the venue, also runs right by. Be sure to check our parking page for updates. 

Pay Lot Option
If street parking is full, the LAZ pay lot behind the Murphy Arts Building, in the former PNC parking lot, is an option. This lot typically charges $5-$10, but note that we don’t manage this lot.

Important Note on St. Patrick Street 
We recommend avoiding travel down St. Patrick Street (between HI-FI Annex and St. Patrick’s Church) by car, as it can become congested and narrowed to a single lane during busy nights.

VIP UPGRADES & SEASON PASSES

Sidestage Lounge Access

Upgrade your concert experience with VIP access to our Sidestage Lounge for $30 per guest. This exclusive area offers a premium view of the stage, comfortable table seating, private bar access, and dedicated outdoor restrooms. All ages are welcome in the Sidestage Lounge, but each guest, regardless of age, will need a ticket upgrade to enter. Space is limited to 40 individuals per show, so secure your spot early! Visit our Sidestage Lounge page to purchase your upgrades directly. Access to The Vista is NOT part of this package. 

Vista VIP Deck

For an unparalleled concert experience, book the Vista VIP Deck. This premium area can host up to 20 guests and is available primarily as a buyout option for companies or individuals. One flat rate secures the entire deck along with tickets for the show, providing the best view for any concert in Indy. The Vista is only open to adults guests 21 years of age or older. INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of inclement weather, our team will explore all options to safely produce the show. Contingency plans may include a rain delay or, if necessary, relocating the show.

  • Rain Delay or Severe Weather: If weather conditions temporarily interrupt the event, we will announce a shelter-in-place. All guests must leave the premises to find shelter. Once it’s safe to resume, we’ll notify you to through HI-FI social media channels that you may return to the show.

  • Indoor Relocation: If needed, the show may be relocated indoors to HI-FI, subject to availability. In this case, the event will be open to all ages.

  • Rescheduling (as a last resort): If the show cannot proceed as planned, we will update you via email with any rescheduling information. Please note that rescheduling may take 24-48 hours as we work with the tour to confirm a new date. If you have a questions about our rescheduled shows and cancellation policy, please reach out to the box office directly.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE SHOW

Our security staff performs a thorough screening of all people, purses and bags entering the venue. All guests will go through security screening to ensure no weapons or non-permitted items enter the venue. Screening may include metal detection and/or wanding. 

Permitted and restricted items may vary by show. Below is a general list of permitted and non-permitted items and activities. Ticket buyers will receive information prior to the show with any updates.
Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Please review the guidelines below to help us maintain a welcoming environment.

Security Screening
Upon arrival, all guests will go through a security screening, which may include bag checks, metal detection, and/or wanding. IDs may also be scanned to verify age for those over 21. Any prohibited or illegal items found will be confiscated, and guests attempting to enter with such items may be denied entry or, if found inside the venue, may be subject to ejection.

Permitted & Non-Permitted Items

Please note that permitted and restricted items may vary by event. Below is a general list for reference:

Permitted Items

  • Clear Tote or Bag – Clear bags made from plastic, vinyl, or PVC not exceeding 14” x 14” (subject to security inspection)
  • Personal Bags – Purses, fanny packs, and handbags no larger than 14” x 14” (subject to security inspection)
  • Water – (1) factory sealed bottle of water
  • Small, Handheld Umbrellas
  • To-Go Food from local restaurants including Easy Rider Diner
  • A Warm Heart & Smiles

Non-Permitted Items

For safety reasons, guests cannot bring the following items into the venue. HI-FI reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed hazardous or disruptive.

  • Weapons of any kind – Including firearms (even with a permit), knives, multi-tools
  • Pepper Spray/Mace
  • Fireworks or Flares
  • Lawn or Camp Chairs
  • Outside Beverages or Coolers
  • Oversized Bags – Larger than 12” x 12” (e.g., backpacks, duffle bags, camelbacks, briefcases, luggage)
  • Drugs or Illegal Substances
  • Laser Pointers
  • Glass Containers
  • Smoking or Vaping – Prohibited inside the venue; designated smoking area available outside
  • Pets or Animals – Except for documented service animals
  • Cameras & Photography Gear – No removable lens cameras, flash photography, tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks unless pre-approved
  • Audio or Video Recording Devices – Unless pre-approved by the Event Manager
  • Transportation Gear – No skateboards, hoverboards, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters (bike parking is available outside)
  • Oversized Signs – No signs larger than 11” x 17” or signs attached to sticks
  • Hula Hoops, Spray Paint, Silly String

COUNTERFEIT TICKETS, BROKERS & RESELLERS

To ensure a smooth entry to our shows, please purchase tickets only from our authorized ticketing partner, Tixr. As we recently transitioned from See Tickets to Tixr, there are some current shows with tickets available on both platforms, and we will honor valid tickets from either. Please note the emphasis on valid tickets, as we will not accept counterfeit or unauthorized tickets.

Beware of Third-Party Sellers
We strongly caution against buying tickets from third-party sources like Craigslist, Facebook, StubHub, Vivid Seats, or individual sellers. It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify ticket validity, and we cannot guarantee entry with tickets purchased outside of authorized channels. If counterfeit tickets are presented at the gate, our only option is to deny entry—a difficult decision, but necessary to maintain the integrity of our events.

Social Media Scams
We also recommend avoiding social media posts or comments from individuals claiming to have “2 extra tickets and can’t go.” Many scams involve reselling the same ticket to multiple buyers. If you have any concerns about ticket legitimacy, please reach out to our Box Office for guidance.

HI-FI ANNEX FOOD & DRINK

HI-FI Annex offers a variety of food, snacks and drinks for guests of all ages. Any guest consuming alcoholic beverages must provide a government issued ID and be 21 years of age or older. 

Easy Rider Diner accepts pre-show reservations if you are looking for a sit-down meal before the show. Easy Rider Diner is our restaurant connected to HI-FI. Guests who make advance reservations will be treated to a free show poster from that nights show. Posters can be picked up in the diner by asking your server. 

Snack Shack
Snack Shack is a concession stand for guests of all ages. Choose from several hot and ready food times from Easy Rider Diner including hamburgers, chicken nuggets, vegan burritos and much more. In addition, Snack Shack offers popcorn, slushies, candy, sodas and water. Snack Shack also doubles as a HI-FI merchandise store where you can pickup t-shirts, hats, hoodies, stickers and more from our venues. 

Main Bar
Main Bar is located to your right when you enter the venue. It’s the largest container in the venue and serves up the largest selection of beer, wine, spirits, specialty cocktails and boozie slushies. Guests must be 21+ to enter this area.  

Stage Bar
Stage Bar is located on the left when you enter the venue, and is the bar closest to the stage. This location serves a selection of beer, wine and cocktails and is the only bar in the venue that serves draft beer. 

Sidestage Lounge Bar
This bar is tucked away on the end of Stage Bar, inside of our VIP area known as Sidestage Lounge. This location serves the same options you will find at Stage Bar, but in a private intimate setting. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase from this location.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Can I bring a bag into the show?

Yes! You are allowed to bring a small purse or fanny pack, but it may be subject to security inspection.

What is the camera/photo policy for this venue?

The photo policy for each night is posted at the band’s discretion. This policy can change on a nightly basis. As a general rule HI-FI Annex does not allow any professional photography unless pre-approved by the band. For approved photographers, Photos permitted for the first three songs only. No flash. Media and professional photographers can contact marketing@hifiindy.com to submit a request for photo credentials.

Can I purchase ear plugs at the venue?

Yes! You can purchase ear plugs for $3 from either of the bars or the Snack Shack.

Can I leave and re-enter the venue?

No. Re-entry is not permitted at this venue with the exception of the external smoking area.

I lost something at the show. Who do I contact?

To inquire about lost items including credit cards, clothing, phones, wallets, etc, contact boxoffice@hifiindy.com. Found items are available for pickup in our office (Suite 2) Monday–Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm.

What is your refund policy?

If a show is postponed, ticket holders will be notified of the change via email, and no other action is needed if you would like to keep your tickets. HI-FI Annex will work to find a new date for the show and provide updates as they become available. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, refunds will be offered at point of purchase for 30 days following the rescheduled date. If you paid with cash at the box office for your tickets, you will need to contact boxoffice@hifiindy.com for further instructions to process your refund.

Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded in the event of a cancelled show. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to post to your bank. No action is required and you should only need to contact the box office if you 1.) paid cash at our box office, 2.) have received a new/different card than the one you originally purchased with, or 3.) if you do not see the refund in your account after 5 business days.
