HI-FI Indy: Know Before You Go
We are excited to host you for a show at HI-FI! HI-FI is an indoor concert venue located in the heart of Fountain Square, in the Murphy Arts Center Building. Our main entrance and box office are located directly under the marquee on Virginia Ave located behind the Murphy Arts Building in Fountain Square. Please review the information below to help ensure an amazing experience. 

  • HI-FI ages restrictions vary by show. Generally speaking, we are an 18+ venue though some shows are all ages and some remain 21+. Check the show your show listing to confirm. 
  • This show is general admission standing only. 
  • A limited about of VIP upgrades are available which includes comfortable seating. Click here for more information
  • Box office opens 1 hour prior to the published door time.  
  • You must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages and provide a VALID government issued ID. 

HI-FI’s main entrance and box office are located at 1043 Virginia Ave. Suite 4, in the Murphy Arts Building, directly under the HI-FI marquee. This is the best address to use for GPS directions to the venue. 

Check our parking page for more info on best places to park. We strongly recommend NOT traveling down St. Patrick Street by vehicle as it can become one lane and congested during Annex shows and busy nights in Fountain Square.

VIP seatings upgrades are available for most shows. This includes 6 tables in the back of the venue on our elevated viewing platform. In addition, our Owners Box is available for select shows which can host up to 8 guests. Click here for more information.
For any ADA requests, please reach out to boxoffice@hifiindy.com, or inquire at the box office. With very limited seating, we prefer to receive advance notice so we can ensure a great experience for all of our guests.
Our security staff performs a thorough screening of all people, purses and bags entering the venue. All guests will go through security screening to ensure no weapons or non-permitted items enter the venue. Screening may include metal detection and/or wanding. 

Permitted and restricted items may vary by show. Below is a general list of permitted and non-permitted items and activities. Ticket buyers will receive information prior to the show with any updates.
Any illegal items found will be confiscated immediately. Guests discovered with prohibited items inside the venue may face ejection, and those attempting to enter with such items may be denied entry. All bags and possessions are subject to search and may be subject to metal detection. 
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment during our events.

Permitted Items 
  • Clear tote or bag made from plastic, vinyl or PVC that does not exceed 14” x 14” in size – subject to security inspection
  • Personal purse, fanny pack or handbag so long as it does not exceed 14” x 14” in size – subject to security inspection
  • Umbrellas – small, handheld only 
  • To-go food from local restaurants 
  • A warm heart & smiles 
Non-Permitted Items 
For safety reasons, guests are refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items. Illegal items will be confiscated. If a guest is found inside the venue with a prohibited item, the item will be confiscated and the guest may be ejected from the facility. HI-FI reserves the right to prohibit any item, including items not listed here, from entering the premises if deemed hazardous or disruptive to the event. 
  • No weapons of any kind: including firearms (with or without permit), knives, multi-tools 
  • Pepper spray/mace 
  • Fireworks or flares 
  • No outside beverages or coolers 
  • No oversized bags (larger than 12″ x 12″) including backpacks, duffle bags, camelbacks, briefcases luggage etc. 
  • No drugs or illegal substances 
  • No laser pointers 
  • No glass 
  • No smoking or vaping in venue, designated smoking area outside venue 
  • No pets or animals – with the exception of documented service animals 
  • No removable lens cameras or flash photography, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks – unless pre-approved by Event Manager 
  • No audio or video recording devices – unless pre-approved by Event Manager 
  • Skateboards, hoverboards, rollerblades, bicycles, scooters – bike parking available outside the venue 
  • Signs large than 11″ x 17″ or any sign attached to a stick 
  • Hula hoops, spray paint, silly string
HI-FI reserves the right to prohibit any item, including items not listed above, from entering the premises if deemed hazardous or disruptive to the event.
Buyer Beware: Only purchase tickets from authorized outlets. Our official ticketing partner is See Tickets and will be the only tickets accepted at events. We strongly caution against purchasing tickets from third parties and individuals on Craigslist, Facebook and StubHub. It is the buyers responsibility to verify the validity of the tickets. When presented with counterfeit tickets at the gate, our only option is to deny entry. It pains us to do this, after you spent your hard earned money, but it’s our only course of action.

Can I bring a bag into the show?

Yes! You are allowed to bring a small purse or fanny pack, but it may be subject to security inspection.

What is the camera/photo policy for this venue?

The photo policy for each night is posted at the band’s discretion. This policy can change on a nightly basis. As a general rule HI-FI Annex does not allow any professional photography unless pre-approved by the band. For approved photographers, Photos permitted for the first three songs only. No flash. Media and professional photographers can contact marketing@hifiindy.com to submit a request for photo credentials.

Can I purchase ear plugs at the venue?

Yes! You can purchase ear plugs for $3 from either of the bars or the Snack Shack.

Can I leave and re-enter the venue?

No. Re-entry is not permitted at this venue with the exception of the external smoking area.

I lost something at the show. Who do I contact?

To inquire about lost items including credit cards, clothing, phones, wallets, etc, contact boxoffice@hifiindy.com. Found items are available for pickup in our office (Suite 2) Monday–Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm.

What is your refund policy?

If a show is postponed, ticket holders will be notified of the change via email, and no other action is needed if you would like to keep your tickets. HI-FI Annex will work to find a new date for the show and provide updates as they become available. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, refunds will be offered at point of purchase for 30 days following the rescheduled date. If you paid with cash at the box office for your tickets, you will need to contact boxoffice@hifiindy.com for further instructions to process your refund.

Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded in the event of a cancelled show. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to post to your bank. No action is required and you should only need to contact the box office if you 1.) paid cash at our box office, 2.) have received a new/different card than the one you originally purchased with, or 3.) if you do not see the refund in your account after 5 business days.
